Technorati keeps an ongoing list of the top 100 blogs based on popularity, and 2010 found a slightly different mix of top blogs than 2009 and 2008.  There are many ways to determine which were the top blogs of 2010. This list is compiled by reviewing Technorati rankings and the online buzz throughout the year to determine some of the most popular blogs in various categories in 2010.


For the third year in a row, The Huffington Post landed in the number one spot in the list of top news blogs.  The Huffington Post has grown to be a formidable news site, but it's roots began as just another blog. 


Engadget takes the top spot in 2010 in the technology and gadgets category for its focus on reviewing products and services that people are actively interested in learning about before they make a purchase.


Girst is more of a green news focused blog than a blog that teaches people how to live greener lives.  However, it includes sections about news, politics, living green, energy, food, business, and more.  In other words, if it's related to the environment, you can find it on Grist.


The Bleacher Report comes from CBS News and offers a huge variety of content about more sports than you can imagine.


TMZ has gained a reputation for being the go-to place for photos, videos, and news about celebrities around the world.


Former AOL and Cinematical blogger, Peter Sciretta, leads the team at /Film in blogging about all things related to movies.  With the tagline, "blogging the reel world," there is no doubt about what you'll find on /Film.
