Now, for an even better Google+ experience that’s more intuitive: Google+ comments will appear in Gmail. So let’s say your friend sent you their latest photographic works, instead of viewing just the photo, the comments and +1s will also be visible within the e-mail; you can comment or +1 within your e-mail, too.

Google Software Engineer Zohair Hayder wrote in Google’s press release how, “[n]otification e-mails are a great way to keep up with what’s happening in the Google+ stream: whether someone mentions you, comments on your post, or shares with you directly [.] [...] It’s not always enough to read these updates; however, sometimes you want to respond right away, right from your inbox.”

With Google’s new Gmail features they are also making Google+ notification e-mails within the Gmail platform interactive, allowing you to view and comment from your inbox, see your comments appear in the G+ stream in real time, and also see others’ responses to Gmail posts from others instantly as part of the notification. All of these comment and notification updates are accessible from your mobile device as well. Simply open the notification e-mail about a particular post and find the prompt.

Of course, you don’t have to necessarily take part in these changes; you can opt out by tweaking your Google settings, but do expect to see some differences roll out in the next week or two.
