Despite impending IPO, people like Microsoft, much more than they do on Facebook

Facebook Gets all the publicity, but when it comes down to what you really like people in your company, Microsoft Facebook leads by a wide margin, as do Apple and Google. This is according to an AP-CNBC poll just released.
The poll of 1,004 people lists has found that 71% of people had a favorable impression of Microsoft, Apple and Google, compared to 51% of people had favourable impressions of Facebook. Facebook also had higher unfavorability rating-23% compared to 8% for Google, Apple and 8% to 7% for the Microsoft.

Twitter, meanwhile, was far behind Facebook, Microsoft, Apple and Google, with 27% with favorable impressions and 27% with unfavourable impressions.
The survey broke people's impressions of Facebook for ages, and not surprisingly, young people had much more favourable impressions of it with the older, 28% percent of seniors take a favorable impression of Facebook, compared to 71 percent of people under 35. No breakouts like were provided for Microsoft, Apple and Google.

The survey is a reminder that it is easy to get caught up in hype, especially those who live in the tech bubble island. While in some parts of the world reputation technology is routinely trashed Microsoft, and Facebook is treated as a treasure that is not as it is out of the upper world. And no matter how Facebook IPO goes, it will remain that way for quite some time.
