Easily unfollow a Facebook post from the new notification box

AppId is over the quota AppId is over the quota Facebook updated its notification box with a new look, and even added a new feature: the ability tokly and easily unfollow a post. Here's how.

Awhile back I showed you how to unfollow a comment thread or post on Facebook. The process wasn't all that straightforward and required you know where to click, and what to look for once you did.

Recently, Facebook gave its notification box a revamped look, as well as a new feature. You can now unfollow a post directly from the notification box.

As you can see above, in the top-right corner of each notification you'll see a small X. When the X is clicked on, you'll be asked to confirm that you do want to unfollow that post. After confirming, the notification will disappear, being replaced with an undo button (should you change your mind). Going forward, you'll no longer receive alerts to new comments on a status update you commented on yourself.

According to Lifehacker, the feature will roll out to everyone over the course of the day, with app controls coming in the "near future."
