A car dealership in Phoenix, Arizona, is planning to launch an iPad application that will streamline the car buying process for its customers, reports KNXV-TV in Phoenix.

RC Auto, operated by father-son team Roger and Ryan Camping, has created an app which allows car shoppers to browse the cars available in their lot, and then alert RC Auto when they’ve decided on a few they’d like to test drive.

Once they’ve decided on a car that’s right for them, the station says they can arrange the process behind purchasing or leasing without any in-person paperwork. The process, according to the Campings, takes close to four minutes, as opposed to the typical 40.

“This application will allow us to do a transaction with an automobile and they don’t have to be at the dealership. It can be done all at one time, at home or maybe at a coffee shop,” Camping told the station.

With the auto industry suffering from lack of consumer demand over the past couple of years, a buying experience that decreases time and stress may give RC Auto a competitive advantage over other dealers.
