Spring break may be the time when skiing conditions are at their best.

The end of the winter season may provide skiers with the best slope conditions, according to MSNBC.

Between weather conditions, skiing prices and snow quality, late March and early April have a lot to offer those interested in taking a ski trip. According to the news source, lodging and ski lifts cost less during those times and the effects of low attendance stretch beyond short lines at the slopes, also affecting things like local restaurant and hotel reservations.

Weather is also at its prime during the final weeks of the ski season, MSNBC says. The skies tend to be clear and sunny and the snow is powdery and deep - the best type for a high-quality skiing experience. High elevations may experience snow at night, but warm up in the daytime, providing both fresh snow and comfortable skiing conditions, according to the news source.

Perhaps instead of spending a lot of money on plane tickets to far away sunny destinations, students can take a road trip to the nearest ski slopes to take advantage of the prime time for skiing.
