Using the Xbox support forum!


Hi, and welcome to the Xbox Support Forums!Here is where you can get help if you are experiencing an issue with the Xbox 360 or Xbox LIVE. Help can come from members of the community, Xbox Ambassadors or official agents Xbox support. We also have many content support right here on the Forum, so just might be able to find the answers you need without any question.

In addition to host our position, which I am presenting to you the Forum, we've created this post to guide you when you use the Xbox.com support forum:

First off, check the page Xbox LIVE status.Often, by the time you notice a problem at home, our engineers already working Xbox LIVE for a resolution in order to minimize the impact on your experience. When this happens, these issues will appear on the page status of Xbox LIVE . If you do not see anything posted there, it is time to hit the support forum.
Search for your topic related forum.We have 15 official support forum covering various topics, this is not your issue, you can find help here! To get the fastest assistance possible, you must make sure that your posting in the correct forum. For example, if you are having problems with your console, connect to the LIVE, check out the Forum 02 – connection to Xbox LIVE first. You probably will not find what you are looking for the Forum 04 – my console.
Check the stickies! Our forums contain many "sticky posts" wrote both the Xbox and the official Community support factors. Stickies contain proven and troubleshooting steps, and it is always a great resource for common themes.
Search the forums for posts from other users with the same issue.This is simple! Simply check the relevant forum thread titles or search the Forum by error code or message that you receive. Other threads may contain known steps to resolve your issue.
Create a new thread!Want to get you to verify the Xbox LIVE status page, to check the stickies and other publications do not provide indications on how to resolve the issue. What's next? Create a new entry! Make sure to include as much information about your problem as possible, including any error codes you may encounter, and what you have tried to resolve the issue so far. Remember, this does not include can be something that can be asked later, both trying to find all there front!
In addition to the above, there are a few things you should consider when you are using the Forum:
Official Hours of support representative forum is Monday-Friday, 9 AM-5 PM PST.While you may receive a response from the community or an Xbox Ambassador outside our core hours, official support factors generally post within a specified period only.
Please allow 24 hours for a response from official official Xbox support forum.While we often will respond to your issue earlier, we ask that you allow us at least 24 hours to respond before "bumping" your thread. If after 24 hours have passed and you have not gotten a response to your issue by community or a support representative, please bump your thread, so that it remains visible.
Private messages: How to use them, and when.Private messages (PM) at Xbox.com forum is different from Xbox LIVE messages. To send a private message on the Forum, look for a small envelope icon below the location of the agent you want to private message. Do not click Gamercard to the agent as it will prompt a message Xbox LIVE. Official agents support forum will not respond to Xbox LIVE messages.
So when should you send a PM to a support representative? Typically, only when requested by us to provide more information. We offer services of private support, so if your message to us asking for help on an issue, we generally direct you to relevant forum to make an entry.
