A montage of clips featuring anchor Nicole Brewer of Channel 3 CBS Philly — also former Miss Pennsylvania — and weather lady Carol Erickson has made the rounds online, accruing nearly 2.5 million views and calling attention to the pair's constant cat fight on live TV.
"That was an interesting exchange I'm sure she regrets, along with that last glass of whatever," quips Erickson in one clip.
We don't know what caused the on-air friction between these two, but according to a network spokesperson, the newscasters are actually friends.
"It's edited out of context," a spokesperson told Philly.com. "Carol has been a mentor to Nicole, and they're friendly both in the newsroom and out. It gives a totally false impression of what they're relationship is like. Their viewers who've watched them over the years know they're more than friendly."
